Spurred on by the success of the two previous years, a team of BiTS students again joined forces in 2007 to organize a Campus Symposium for the third year in succession. The main speaker that year was Kofi Annan.

The Campus Symposium 2007 was a further milestone in our history as it was apparent that this event had gradually become an established venue in the minds of the attendees, the professional world and also of the press. It had consequently developed into a fixed element in the event calendar, and was already renowned not only in the region, but also on a national and even international scale.

  

From a conceptional point of view, the Symposium remained unaltered so as to warrant a sense of continuity for the visitors. Appreciation for this approach reached us in the form of an excellent attendance and overwhelming feedback.

Prior to 2007, the teams organizing the Symposium were changed almost completely each year. This procedure left its mark of course, since it was generally not easy to transfer knowledge and experience to the successor team. By altering the structures somewhat and establishing more continuity, this practice was improved from 2008 on.
